Fans think they’ve worked out how Nikocado Avocado filmed Cameos during shock 250lb weight loss

Fans think they’ve figured out how Nikocado Avocado filmed cameos during his incredible weight loss following shock revelation that he hadn’t filmed a video in two years.

YouTuber Nikocado Avocado, real name Nicholas Perry, sent the entire internet into a frenzy over the weekend after he revealed his 250lb weight loss.

Nikocado is known for his ‘mukbang‘ videos where he eats copious amounts of food and chats about anything and everything, embodying a kind of ‘evil villain’ character.

After starting his channel eight years ago as a soft spoken vegan influencer, Nikocado slowly transitioned to a meat-eating mukbanger with a sassy personality.

The YouTube community watched on as Nik gained a significant amount of weight, often taking to the comments to express their ‘concern’ over his transformation.

After being such a regular uploader, Nikocado’s 4.21m subscribers were baffled as to why his uploads had ground to a halt seven months ago, speculating that the YouTuber might have quit the internet for good after experiencing an onslaught of negative comments.

So when he dropped his now infamous video entitled ‘2 Steps Ahead‘ debuting his significant weight loss, the internet went into meltdown. In the video Nik reveals that he hadn’t filmed a video in two years, leading fans to question how he had been filming videos for Cameo throughout this time.

Cameo allows fans to request videos from creators saying pretty much anything. Want Trisha Paytas to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to you? Cameo is where you can do that.

And Nikocado had been filming these throughout the two years he was ‘offline’.

One fan took to the r/nikocado Subreddit to ask: “If he prefilmed the videos how did he film the Cameos?”

One user responded: ‘he jacked the prices up really high so no one would really do it.”

Another said: “it kinda looks like he was forcing a double chin”

Taking to YouTube one fan posted a Cameo they received from Nik one year ago where he seems to reveal his grand weight loss plan.

In the video Nik says: “I know I look really skinny, it’s because I lost 89lbs”

He continues, seemingly confirming the theory that Nik jacked the prices of his Cameo up, to say: “They [the Cameo customer] afforded my rates by saving up their pennies because I’m very expensive”.

One person took to the comments to say: “This video was a hint”

While another commented: “Here before this blows up”

So it seems like Nik was recording Cameos few and far between, and simply addressed the weight loss in the ones that he did record.

Nikocado Avocado has fooled his community and trolls alike in a major years-long prank.

The YouTuber, real name Nicholas Perry, is known for his ‘mukbang‘ style of videos in which he would eat a large plate of food while chatting with viewers.

The streamer had been targeted online for his 400lb+ weight and mysteriously stopped posting new videos around seven months ago.

Many fans were puzzled as to why his uploads dried up, but a recent video shocked everyone.

Just two days ago, the 32-year-old dropped a video titled “Two Steps Ahead,” showing Nikocado looking drastically slimmer, weighing just 158 pounds reportedly.

What was the shocker?

Well, Nikocado had actually been playing a long con. He tricked viewers into thinking he was losing weight quickly by using pre-recorded videos to maintain the illusion that he was still active.

So, when the latest video hit, people were surprised in that it seemed his weight transformation happened overnight.

What’s more, Nikocado hinted at his scheme in a 2022 video monologue titled the same: “Two Steps Ahead”.

It seems he made this video with the intention of starting his weight loss journey immediately after.

“I am always two steps ahead,” he said in the video.

“This has been the greatest social experiment I’ve come to know, certainly the greatest social experiment of my entire life.”

He described watching endless online comments and speculation about himself as feeling like he was “observing ants on an ant farm.”

The YouTuber went on to hint that people watch stories ‘year after year’ that are ‘deliberately made to blur the boundaries between fact and fiction.’

And it goes to show.

Nikocado deliberately kept himself out of the public eye, doing his weight loss in secret and shaving his head to hide his identity.

“Just yesterday people were calling me fat and sick and boring and irrelevant,” the YouTuber said in his recent video drop.

“People are the most messed up creatures on the the entire planet and yet I’ve still managed to stay two steps ahead of everyone. The joke’s on you.”

People are shocked, to say the least, by one of the biggest trolling events to happen in recent times.

One YouTube user replied: “Genuinely one of the best trolls I have ever possibly seen performed. His entire persona and ability to captivate us all into thinking he’s some incompetent slob and then he hits us with the final act. This is top level trolling.”

Another wrote: “This is definitely the last video he recorded before losing that weight”.

Infamous YouTuber Nikocado Avocado posted his ‘weight loss supper’ weeks before his shock revelation and 250lb weight loss.

Nikocado Avocado, real name Nicholas Perry, pulled one of the most insane plot twists in internet history this weekend when he dropped a video titled ‘2 Steps Ahead’.

The video revealed Nik’s shocking 250lb weight loss and that he hadn’t filmed a video in two year despite regular posting.

Since that video dropped, fans have been piecing together clues dotted around the internet including videos Nik posted to TikTok just weeks before the shock revelation.

One video in particular that has caught the attention of the internet is a monologue posted two years ago where Nik says his now infamous phrase ‘two steps ahead’ and eerily foreshadows what was to come.

While some fans were so shocked that they were convinced the video was AI, it seems pretty certain that Nik has indeed fooled the entire internet for two whole years, losing a significant amount of weight in the process.

He seemed to have been dropping clues as well. From a Cameo sent to a fan one year ago, to a TikTok posted just weeks before his reveal dropped showcasing his ‘weight loss supper’.

Posted on August 25 this year (2024) the video opens with Nik showing off his stomach saying: “I’m going to show all you people my weight loss supper.”

Using a rice cooker, Nik cooks up a large bowl of white rice and scoops it into a ‘weight loss-sized bowl’ which is a large wooden bowl which Nik says his dietician ‘approved’.

After transferring the rice, Nik adds his signature avocados into the bowl for ‘healthy fats’ and adds brown sugar before mixing it all together.

The video is currently sitting on 715k likes and over 56m views and viewers certainly had something to say in the comments in hindsight of Nik’s latest revelations.

One commenter simply put ‘I’m lost’ while another wrote ‘I’m so confused like ik it’s pre recorded but how many videos did he have to make’.

And everyone seems to be sharing the same sentiment that Nik bamboozled us all, with one user commenting ‘did i get scammed’ and another writing ‘Darn we all got tricked :(‘.

Nikocado’s orignal video ‘2 Steps Ahead‘ now has more than 30m views on YouTube, but he’s also kickstarted his second channel called ‘Nikocado Avocado 2’ where he says he’ll be posting in the future.

Nik also appears to have updated all of his social media since the revelation so it looks like we could be seeing a fresh start for the YouTube star.

Being under the constant glare of the YouTube lens can’t be an easy one, and with millions of prying eyes on you at any given time, it’s hard to get a moment’s privacy. If anyone knows that, it’s Nicholas Perry, aka Nikocado Avocado.

You might’ve seen the Ukrainian-born American YouTuber’s mukbang videos where he eats a variety of weird and wonderful food, but these days, he’s largely known for pulling the wool over the entire internet’s eyes.

Perry’s ‘Two Steps Ahead’ monologue infamously rang out through the internet on September 7. Shocking the world, Nikocado Avocado revealed he’s lost a shocking 250lb as part of a two-year ‘social experiment.’

Opinions were split between those who applauded Perry for his dedication to pulling off the ruse, and those who branded the whole thing as ‘cringe.’

Others say that while Nikocado Avocado looks great following his dramatic weight loss, it’s a sleight against body positivity and conforms to the ‘skinnier’ content creator norms.

In his latest video, Nikocado Avocado is speaking out about his motivations behind his social experiment. Saying that it went way more viral than he ever expected, it seems Perry is still reeling from the fact his video is closing in on 50 million views.

Saying it was his ‘dream’ to be on Broadway, Nikocado Avocado then put those acting skills to the test. The YouTuber admits: “I had a CPAP machine, I could barely bend over, I had a scooter to get around.”

However, he says this was all ‘part of the plan’ and that he started this experiment knowing he’d gain weight.

Perry was purposefully ‘diving deeper’ into this character work, describing his internet persona as: “This manic, self-absorbed, crazy, unhinged, bizarre man that’s trapped in his apartment, suffocating his lungs with food and junk.”

Nikocado Avocado dedicates the video at MoistCr1TiKaL, who called the transformation this generation’s ‘I am your father’ moment from The Empire Strikes Back.

Perry continued: “It was really entertaining for me, I love the performance of this. It’s so exciting, like I’m watching all these people just rake me through the coals every day on social media as I’m sitting there, getting skinnier and skinnier.”

There was more to it, and Perry hopes that others can be inspired by his journey: “People are happy for me. I think anytime someone tries to make themselves better physically and take their health in control, it inspires people because there’s a lot of people out there who are fat too, and they’re like, ‘Okay, if he can do it.’”

We’ve got to hand it to Nikocado Avocado for dedication to the cause. Not every YouTuber will create a backlog of videos to trick us, and even though he will always have his critics, the likes of MoistCr1TiKaL claim Nikocado Avocado has ‘won’ the internet.
